President: Zachary McClure

Hello! I am Zachary McClure. I am the president of BSF at UNC-Asheville. Our mission this year is for our group to expand in and around UNCA, as well as partnering with our ministries at Western Carolina University and Mars Hill University.

Another goal of ours is to spread the word of Christ through works. This year, we are going to engage in missions to help our local communities in Western North Carolina. I look forward to all the good that we will accomplish this year and all the lives we will change.

Vice President:  Sheldon Marshall

My name is Sheldon W. Marshall, and I'm from Mount Airy, North Carolina. I am pursuing a degree in mechatronics engineering with a minor in computer science at UNC Asheville. I come from a Baptist church called Flippin Memorial Baptist Church. It was there that I was saved when I was 11 years old.

I am looking forward to meeting and growing with you in the word of God as the vice president and worship leader of UNCA's BSF for 2022-2023. I hope you will come and join us this year. When I initially joined BSF as a freshman, I was welcomed and comforted by all of the members, and as vice president, I will strive to be as warm and welcoming as the members before me.

So far, I've thoroughly loved the group's weekly services, fellowship, multicampus worship meetings, and other programs. As worship leader, I will strive to make fun, uplifting, and faith-centered experiences for all of us this year.

Socials Coordinator: Samantha Schroder

Hey! My name is Samantha Schroder. I am 20, and I am the socials coordinator at UNC-Asheville BSF. I am a junior with a biology major and a chemistry minor.

Some of my interests are animals, as I plan on going into veterinary medicine. I love hiking, reading, art, board games, and video games. I am also a HUGE Disney fan!

This year at Baptist Student Fellowship, I want to plan at least two social events a month to have bonding times outside of worship time. This will allow us to grow together in Christ as a group.

New Student Advisor: David Melton

Hey! My name is David Melton, and I am the new student advisor for BSF. I am a 21-year-old senior, and I am pursuing a history degree. My interests include video games, playing sports, hanging out with my friends, and hiking. I am also currently learning how to play the guitar. This year at BSF, I would like to increase our presence on campus, outreach to more students, and see our group grow.
