Brogan Heavner - President

I am the president of BSF at Mars Hill University where I major in criminal justice and minor in pre-law. I am also a member of the tennis team, FCA, Student Support Services, and a writing tutor. I enjoy reading, traveling, Netflix documentaries, and spending time with my friends.

Cassie McKinney - Vice President

Hey I’m Cassie, and I am the new vice president of Baptist Student Fellowship here at Mars Hill. A little about me that you should know is that I am an art major from Marion, NC. I came to Mars Hill for the small town atmosphere and the stellar art program, but I stay for the people and the amazing experiences I have had here. I hope that you can find great opportunities here as well, and I encourage you to get involved. Mars Hill has a lot to offer.

Sarah Stewart - Worship Leader

Hello! My name is Sarah Stewart! I am 21 years old and from Pickens, South Carolina. I am a senior at Mars Hill University, double majoring in Zoology and Integrated Health Sciences with a concentration in Physical Therapy. I will be the Worship Leader for BSF this year. I am honored to have this position and hope to see BSF grow in population and bring outreach to the community of Mars Hill.

Blaine Hovis - New Student Advisor

Hi, I’m Blaine Hovis, and I am the new student advisor at Mars Hill University BSF. Helping you is my job, so please don’t hesitate to ask me for anything you might need! I am a sophomore, and I am double majoring in Elementary Education and Musical Theatre. I grew up in church and have always been very passionate about my faith. I was lucky to find such an amazing group of fellow believers through BSF. I can’t wait to meet you and grow closer together as we grow closer to God.

Leah Matney - Social Media Manager

Hi, my name is Leah Matney. I plan on graduating in 2023 with a business major and a concentration in marketing. I am also minoring in graphic design and honors. I play on the women's golf team as well. In addition, I am a photographer and hope to have my own photography business after graduation. My hobbies include weightlifting, Zumba, and painting. I am the social media manager for Baptist Student Fellowship. Through this position, I hope to reach and encourage more students to join BSF. My favorite part about this group is how students my age get to connect spiritually and learn more about God together!
